In Tonia's words

Why this clinic exists

I established this clinic with a vision of empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being. My journey began with a personal experience of the MTHFR gene mutation - and the frustration of searching for clear information and effective answers. Through that process, I discovered the power of natural approaches to wellness, and this clinic is the culmination of that quest for knowledge.

As a mother of two, I know first-hand how easy it is to put yourself last. Parenthood has been my greatest teacher - and through its challenges, I found ways to nurture myself and maintain balance. I believe that when parents prioritise their own health, the whole family benefits. This clinic is here for you too.

Meet Dr. Sofia Erythropoulou

Background
  • MD — Carol Davila University, Bucharest

Completed her medical degree at one of Romania's most prestigious medical schools, laying the foundation for a career in specialist medicine.

  • Anaesthesiology specialisation & medical acupuncture — Thessaloniki, Greece

Pursued advanced training in anaesthesiology alongside certification in medical acupuncture, integrating conventional and complementary approaches from early in her career.

  • Pain & Acupuncture Clinic founder — Thessaloniki

Established her own pain and acupuncture clinic in Thessaloniki, developing expertise in both chronic and acute pain management while also teaching biology.

  • NHS Anaesthetist — United Kingdom

Brought her expertise to the NHS, working as an anaesthetist with a focus on chronic and acute pain management — and now channels that depth of clinical experience into functional and personalised medicine at Olympian Wellness Clinic.

Dr Sofia's journey into functional medicine is deeply personal. When she faced her own struggles with infertility, she began exploring what conventional medicine alone couldn't fully answer — the role of nutrition, vitamins, and the gut microbiome in women's health and fertility. That search led her to formal training in functional and lifestyle medicine, and ultimately to a completely new dimension of clinical practice.

Following the birth of her child, Dr Sofia faced a cancer diagnosis. Rather than stepping back, that experience deepened her commitment to preventive medicine and the relationship between mental and physical well-being. As a cancer survivor, she understands first-hand what it means to navigate the healthcare system while searching for answers — and she brings that understanding to every patient she sees.

Her mission is simple: to empower people with the knowledge and tools to take control of their health — before illness takes hold. She believes that the best medicine is personalised, preventive, and rooted in understanding the whole person.

Dr Sofia Erythropoulou

MD, Anaesthetist & Functional Medicine Practitioner

Dr Sofia Erythropoulou is an MD, specialist anaesthetist, and functional medicine practitioner whose path into integrative healthcare was shaped as much by her own health journey as by her medical training. A cancer survivor who navigated infertility before becoming a mother, she brings lived experience alongside exceptional clinical credentials — and a deep, personal understanding of why preventive and personalised medicine matters.

Meet Renny Shak - Nutritional Therapist

Background
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy — India, 1990

Qualified as a pharmacist in India, where a lifelong interest in the relationship between food, nature, and healing was already taking root — inspired by her grandmother's use of home remedies from childhood.

  • Registered Pharmacist & Medical Representative — UAE

Registered as a pharmacist in the UAE and worked as a medical representative for Astra Middle East, gaining specialist training and practical experience in gastrointestinal and respiratory medicine.

  • Overseas Pharmacist Assessment Programme — Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, 2006

Completed the UK overseas pharmacist assessment programme, paving the way for registration and practice in the British healthcare system.

  • Community Pharmacist — Bristol, Somerset & Isle of Wight, 2007–present

Has served communities across the South West and beyond for 18 years, building an intimate understanding of her patients' complex health needs — particularly those managing multiple medications.

  • Diploma in Nutritional Therapy — College of Naturopathic Medicine, London

Trained formally as a nutritional therapist, combining the science of naturopathic medicine with her decades of pharmaceutical knowledge to offer a uniquely integrated approach to patient care.

Renny is a qualified pharmacist with over 30 years of experience and a naturopathic nutritional therapist whose approach to health is rooted in something older than any prescription — the belief that food, nature, and self-awareness are among the most powerful medicines available to us. Trained across three continents, she brings a rare combination of pharmaceutical rigour and holistic wisdom to every client she works with.

Renny's relationship with natural medicine began long before any formal qualification. Growing up in India, she watched her grandmother reach for the kitchen cupboard — turmeric, ginger, honey — long before reaching for a pharmacy. That early wisdom never left her, and she carried it through every stage of her career.

When menopause arrived, it arrived hard. The symptoms were, in her own words, horrific. But it was through that experience — guided by an Ayurvedic physician and a deepening exploration of food as medicine — that she found her way through. That journey became the foundation of her nutritional therapy practice, and her most powerful qualification of all.

Today, Renny's 30-year background in pharmacy gives her a critical edge: she understands how medications interact with nutrition in ways that most nutritional therapists simply cannot. For clients managing complex or multiple medications, this is invaluable. Her approach is always personalised, always rooted in the whole person — and always guided by a simple belief: what is of greater importance than health itself?
